How it Works:
After checking in, we’ll provide you with PFD(s)/Lifejacket(s), Paddle(s), Boat(s), Garbage Bags & Gloves. Our team will provide an orientation including river safety, and paddling directions, then assist your launch onto the Humber River’s calm waters.
Throughout the event, you can use our canoes to paddle to remote areas of the river, where you can disembark and gather any garbage that has accumulated since our last cleanup. Once you’ve gathered your haul, simply return all the litter you’ve collected to our Humber Location for disposal. We’ll take care of the rest!
Note:
- We Start & Finish this event at our Humber Location, so no need for a shuttle!
- Online Adult Waivers are available through confirmation emails. For minors, waivers will need to be signed in person on location.
- Canoes are available on a first come first serve basis.
- Paddlers must be comfortable treading water while wearing a PFD and reaching a shoreline (minimum 20 metres to shore).
- You don’t have to paddle, you’re welcome to just walk the valley for the cleanup.
Important Information:
Anyone under the age of 18 must have a Parent/Guardian/Adult accompany them at all times on the water. Online Adult Waivers are available through confirmation emails. For minors, waivers will need to be signed in person on location. There must be an Adult to Child ratio of 1:4 if the children are under 12 years of age. From ages 12-18 we require a 1:5 adult to youth ratio. We have lifejackets starting at 30 pounds and are fully adjustable.
