Since 99′ the Team here at Toronto Adventures has worked passionately to provide Adventure For Everyone through providing affordable, accessible Outdoor Recreation that is available from beginner levels on up. Now, many years later, Toronto Adventures has developed into an industry leader in offering Paddling Adventures both at the Humber River and the calm waters of Sunnyside Beach! We offer a huge variety of activities including Lessons & Rentals in Kayaking, Canoeing and Stand Up Paddleboarding, Paddle in Comedy shows, Paddling Day Trips and developing future paddling enthusiasts with our Young Paddlers Summer Day Camp. Junior Instructor & Guide

Description: Our Junior Instructor & Guide position is our entry level position for Kayaking & Canoeing and is right here in Toronto Ontario! This position would be responsible to assisting with our City Kayaking & Canoeing programs including Humber Intro to Kayaking & Canoeing Lessons & Rentals, Humber Kayak & Canoe Rentals, Sunnyside Kayak, Canoe & SUP Rentals and occasionally join us on our Paddling Day Trips and other special events.

Rewards: Here at Toronto Adventures there are lots of opportunities to attain certifications, experience and have lots of fun. As you excel at Toronto Adventures you have courses, trips and other fun experiences such as Kayak Water Polo, Day Trips and other great opportunities just for being an asset in the Toronto Adventures Team.

Requirements: We’re looking for self motivated people with an attitude that exudes enthusiasm for working with participants to give them a life changing experience that will stay with them forever. First Aid and CPR C certificate is required. Any Paddle Canada, ORCKA, or any other relevant certificates should also be sent along with your resume and cover letter to help us know your qualifications and experience.

Hours: Our Junior Guide & Instructors generally work hours ranging from 20 – 45 hours per week as the season picks up to full speed.

Pay: Many of our staff spend their off time traveling around Ontario, Canada and the World. Our pay is competitive in the industry.

Senior Instructor & Guide

Senior Instructor & Guide

Description: Our Senior Instructor & Guide position is comprised of many different aspects. Our Senior Instructors & Guides are expected to be competent teaching a basic Kayak, Canoe &/Or SUP Lessons as well as guiding our Humber River paddles with little training. They are responsible for the safety of the paddlers and are able to keep calm and control of groups of up to 15 boats for our basic Humber River guided tours. Our Senior Instructors & Guides will also have the opportunity to help guide our Paddling Day Trips and other special events.

Driver & Location Manager

Driver & Location Manager

Description: The Driver & Location Manager position is responsible for overall set up, maintenance and overall quality of the location and its operations. This includes ensuring other staff members are performing their roles diligently and that customer waivers, daily report and other forms are completed accurately. In this leadership position, you are expected to be dependable, organised and customer service oriented.

Requirements: We’re looking for dependable, experienced drivers with a G licence. Someone who is self motivated, enthusiastic and comfortable in a leadership position. Any First Aid, Paddle Canada, ORCKA, Bronze Cross or any other relevant certificates should also be sent along with your resume and cover letter to help us know your qualifications and experience.

Summer Day Camp Counselor

Summer Day Camp Counselor

Description: Our TA Summer Day Camp Counselor position is a great way to gain experience working with kids as well as a great way to spend your summer outside! We are looking for responsible, enthusiastic and self motivated people to be a Summer Day Camp Counselor. This position would be responsible to assisting with our Day Camp program for children ages 10-14. Camp is scheduled weekdays and would include activities like Kayaking, Canoeing, SUP, Hiking, Swimming and Camp Activities. You’ll have the opportunity to teach young people to appreciate and enjoy the fun world of outdoor recreation!

Rewards: Here at Toronto Adventures there are lots of opportunities to attain certifications, experience and have lots of fun. As you excel at Toronto Adventures you have courses, trips and other fun experiences such as Kayak Water Polo, Day Trips and other great opportunities just for being an asset in the Toronto Adventures Team.

Requirements: We are looking for students or recent graduates of an Early Childhood Education / Teaching Program. Prior camp counselor experience is an asset. TA Summer Day Camp Lead Counselor & Administrator

Description: Our TA Summer Day Camp Lead Counselor & Administrator position is a great way to gain experience working with kids as well as a great way to spend your summer outside! We are looking for responsible, enthusiastic and self motivated people to be a Summer Day Camp Counselor. In addition our Lead Counselor & Administrator position requires an organized disposition as it requires you to take a lead and take care of more of the administrative tasks including scheduling, waivers and other paperwork, safety and more. Looking for a Certified Lifeguard to Join our Team here at Toronto Adventures for this Summer season! This position would have you working at our paddling events right here in Toronto. No paddling skills required, but is always an asset!

Requirements: We’re looking for a team player who enjoys working outdoors, working directly with customers and learning new things. Must have valid Lifeguard Certification and Standard First Aid with CPR C.
